Malachite Glass Murrine Bowl Series

This handmade malachite green murrine bowl is in a distinctive Triad form, individually kiln-formed in my North Yorkshire studio.

Inspired by the intricate patterns and natural beauty of malachite crystals, the bowl is constructed from hundreds of hand-pulled and cut vitrigraph murrine elements. Teal, Forest Green, Mint, Grey and Aventurine Green Bullseye Glass are carefully arranged in a radiating design before being kiln-fused into a seamless form. The surface is sandblasted to create a soft matte finish, highlighting the depth and texture within the glass.

Each bowl is individually made, creating subtle variations in colour and pattern and ensuring that every piece is unique.
