Sequence Murrine Fused Glass Wall Panel

Sequence is a murrine fused glass wall panel, handmade in my North Yorkshire studio.

Inspired by DNA sequencing, Sequence explores repetition, order and variation through glass. Individually made murrine canes are fused into a solid form before being sliced into rows, revealing the intricate cross sections within each cane.

Arranged across the surface, these sections create a repeating sequence of colour, shape and pattern. Like genetic information, subtle variations within each element contribute to the character of the whole, creating a composition that feels both ordered and organic. As light moves across the glass, the layered forms shift in appearance, bringing depth and movement to the piece.

Designed as contemporary wall art, Sequence combines kiln-formed glass with an exploration of pattern, repetition and the visual language of DNA.

Each panel comes with a French cleat for wall mounting.
