Strata Murrine Fused Glass Wall Panel

Strata is a contemporary murrine fused glass wall panel, handmade in my North Yorkshire studio.

Inspired by the layered forms found in natural landscapes, Strata explores depth, rhythm and the gradual accumulation of colour through glass. Individually made murrine canes are fused into a solid form before being sliced into rows, revealing the intricate cross sections within each cane.

Arranged across the surface, these sections create layers of colour, shape and pattern, giving the piece a sense of movement and depth. As light passes through and across the glass, the appearance of the panel changes, revealing subtle details within the layered composition.

Designed as contemporary wall art, Strata combines the technical process of kiln-formed glass with an exploration of layering, pattern and colour.

Each panel comes with a French cleat for wall mounting.
