Magnoliaceae Murrine Wall Art

Magnoliaceae is a contemporary murrine fused glass wall panel created in my North Yorkshire studio.

Inspired by the creamy white and rich greens of Magnolia tree's, this work uses individually made murrine canes, which are fused into a solid form and then sliced into individual rows, showing the cross section of each glass cane. The layered green and cream forms create a sense of movement across the surface, changing as light passes through and across the piece.

Designed to be displayed as contemporary wall art, Magnoliaceae combines the technical process of kiln-formed glass with an exploration of colour, rhythm and patterns found in nature.

Each wall panel comes with a French cleat, with one side attached to the panel and the other ready to attach to your chosen surface.
